Natural Lash Look with Ardell Double Individual Lashes

False lashes is something I dread and love at the same time. I want longer and fuller looking lashes but I hate the feeling of falsies on my lids, the edges popping out of place after a period of time, the number of lashes been pulled out when removing the falsies, the fact that it doesn't look natural and just the overall application process is a killer. Due to this, I have worn falsies 2-3 times in my life. I wore it for new years eve in 2014 and vowed never to wear it again, I don't have that many lashes on my eyes so I try hard to preserve them!! It's been over a year since I used falsies and this time it's different.

If you wear a full set of falsies on a daily basis..I salute you, but if you are a non-falsie wearer like myself due to the above reasons, you might find this useful.

Instead of using a full strip of falsies, stick individual lashes to the outer edge of your lids. All I did was curl my lashes (mascara is optional), used a tweezer to dip my Ardell Individual Lashes* into the lash glue (I'm using Ardell Clear Adhesive) and on they went!

The Benefits of this look:
  • Super easy to apply, you do not require a great deal of accuracy, perfect for beginners
  • Time efficient, it takes me 10 minutes to apply a full set of false lashes, this took me a minute
  • It's comfortable you won't even feel it
  • It's natural looking and I am all about the natural look
  • You can wear this look all the time, not just on special occasions
  • It's easy to remove, I just wet my finger and gently remove the lashes one at a time minimising eye lash casualties
  • It's recycable, I soak the lashes in a small bowl of water for a few minutes and gently remove the glue with my fingers
  • I can still rub the inner half of my eyes
  • It's fully customisable
  • Compliments your natural lashes, creates a fuller lash look
  • Even if one individual lash falls off the look is not ruined!!!

It honestly doesnt get any more natural looking than this...

What do you think guys? Would you try this or do your prefer a full lash strip?

  1. Loving the look Lily, I'm kind of becoming obsessed with false lashes!! I really love ones that are for the outer edges of your eyes, they're so easy and they just look as a good as a full strip!

  2. I can't believe how natural it looks! For some reason, I've always thought that individual lashes would be more difficult to apply than a full set of lashes. But I guess you're right - you don't need to be terribly accurate because otherwise they'll look quite fake.

  3. Loving how natural it looks. I'm a total noob when it comes to eyelashes but I might give these a go! xx

  4. Love the look of these on you!! I'm the opposite, I find strip lashes easier to put on then individuals haha. Although I do like putting individuals on other people as the amount of lash can be controlled in particular areas. I love the ones that flare on the outer lengths.

  6. Wow they make such a difference, but I love that they still look natural! I barely ever wear fake eyelashes, I just find them uncomfortable and difficult but these sound perfect. I might have to try them myself! Great post x

  7. Because I have always thought individual lashes would be a lot harder to apply than just one strip I've stayed away from individual lashes! After reading your review you've convinced me to give them a go!

  8. Love it! I've been meaning to try individual lashes for a while too, especially since falsies don't agree with me, and I don't like how fake they look. I've been waiting for some individuals to come on sale at Priceline :P

  9. Well I'd never guess you had applied false lashes Lily - I have several sets in my drawer which have been there for over 2 years. I'm hopeless at applying them, and the only time I did, a family member asked me what was wrong with my eyes lol! These look beaut and might just be my solution - loved the review hon, nice and simple yet informative. Keep up the great work ♥

  10. I should try this. Can't believe I've never tried false lashes of any kind even once... and I'm in my 40's! I just can't stand the thought of all the glue near my eyes or having the strip of lashes pop off. I would def try these individual one's though!

  12. Great look! I actually managed to get full sets on myself this weekend AND with liquid liner to boot, I was pretty darn pleased with that!! I do have some individuals kicking around somewhere. When I have a bit of time, I might have a go.

  13. Lily I am exactly the same with false lashes. I struggle so badly with them that I had almost given up too but I recently tried some half lashes by Runway Room and they were so comfortable to wear and I didn't stuff up putting them on - I was SO proud.

I have always wondered about individual lashes so I am now going to give them a try as I think you sold the concept really well :-)
