Irresistible Me Hair Extensions

Hair extensions is an avenue that I've never ventured into.. after my haircut, I became curious, especially after missing my longish hair during the first week of the cut. I've always wondered why people would ever want more hair.. now I know!

Irresistible Me Hair Extensions offer a wide range of hair, from ponytails and extensions to full laced wigs. I wasn't able to escape the word 'Remy' on the website, I had to google the definition because it sounded like a Pokémon character to me. 'Remy' hair simply means that when collecting the hair, all hair follicles are going in one direction, eliminating tangling issues.

And yes, all Irresistible me hair products are salon quality and 100% human remy hair.

Being naturally stubborn, I decided to start putting the hair extensions in my hair without reading the instructions or watching the how-tos.. (not recommended if you are a newbie like me!) I did end up pulling a few hair out - some from the extension and some of my own.

There are a million different YouTube demos only showing the full application. After watching a few different videos/trial and error.. I finally got the hang of it. I must say, applying hair extension on short hair is DIFFICULT for beginners! There's a lot of layering going on!

A little bit about the extensions I selected: 01 in Jet Black, 20 inches, 140g. This was chosen mainly because I know I will never have the patience to grow my hair out that long and deal with the maintenance.

Extra Clips

Having hair extensions was quite an experience, it was definitely better and more breathable than a full wig. At first I did feel strange having someone else's hair on my head and it was quite heavy even though I didn't use all 140g of hair. I suppose for regular hair extension users, it would be a stroll through the park; however, as a first time user, it did take some time for me to get use to. Nonetheless I certainly did like the outcome and all the wonderful things I can do with long hair!

I don't think I would use all hair extensions on a regular basis, it's great for parties and the smaller pieces are excellent to experiment with in the future - I can possibly curl or dye the smaller strands to my desire and attach/remove from my hair to suit the look.

I can finally partially re-enact Wednesday Adam's "I hate everything" meme

  1. They look great on you! Sometimes, I think about getting extensions to get a 'fuller' look to my hair.

  2. I'm loving the look of the extensions! I struggle with thin hair so I'd love to try hair extensions perhaps for special events

  3. I had a full set of microbead extensions put in once (inexpertly) . . . and promptly had them taken out the next day as you could see the beads when my hair was at rest and they did not blend with my natural hair at all. So disappointing. Yours look great though!

  4. They look great on you! I've never used hair extensions, mostly because I'm not up for all the work that's involved in getting them + I have a lot of hair already, even though it's of the fine variety. It would be fun to pop some pieces in to make my hair look fuller though; but I need volume more so at the roots, not the rest of my mane.

  5. The extensions totally change your look! At least you have that option whenever you feel like some longer locks!

  6. These look amazing on you! I've never tried hair extensions and am currently considering cutting my hair not extending it! Lol! But in the future I would consider hair extensions for the purpose of making my hair appear fuller rather than longer.

  7. i bought some clip in extensions at a flea market for fun. I like the way they look but I have fine hair and somehow the clips always end up showing through. ugh. It's fun to change it up though, I like you with the long hair too! Would be fun to dye some a colour and try that out. :)

Yep, with long hair you can do so many things !

I've never tried hair extensions but it seems fun to be able to go from short to long hair.

  10. The extensions look really natural and the colour blends in really well with your own hair. I've always wanted to put some coloured extensions into my hair because I'm too scared to streak my real hair ahah
