Sisley 2018 Makeup Showcase @ The Fashion Institute, Chippendale

I recently attended Sisley's 2018 Makeup Showcase.

Sisley is a luxury brand that is renowned for their beautiful and high quality skincare. Sisley's makeup products contain a lot of the key technology and ingredients from their skincare range. This year Sisley is releasing some new makeup products. Unlike brands who produce new releases every month, Sisley takes time to work on their formulation.

So let's take a look!

SISLEY INSTANT CORRECT COLOUR CORRECTING PRIMER - $105AUD

Welcome two brand new primers from Sisley! These two primers are made to improve your skin's appearance, complexion and skin tone.

Available in 2 shades:

Just Lavender - contains bluish pearls to correct complexions that are yellow (it also does a fantastic job at covering redness) and provide a porcelain finish.
Just Rosy illuminates and gives fair skin a glowing complexion, it contain pinkish pearls to freshen up grey complexions.

Both primers have a soft-focus effects:

- Soft focus agent to smooth skin texture
- Soft focus gel to minimise skin imperfections
- Soft focus powder to minimise pores
- A fixing polymer to improve foundation hold and resist humidity.

I tried the Just Lavender on my face and it instantly brightened my complexion, my pores were minimised and I looked as if I did not require foundation. Just Lavender works perfectly well to reduce any redness on both my face and the back of my hand.

Available on counters 18th of March 2018.

SISLEY PHYTO-KHOL STAR WATERPROOF - $62 AUD

Sisley reinvented their Phyto-Khol Star range of glitter pencils.

Phyto-Khol Star Waterproof liner pens come in retractable leads and available in 8 beautiful shades (5 sparking shades and 3 almost black shimmery shades with subtle reflections called Mystic Shades).

This fabulous new liner resists sebum and sweat by staying in place perfectly with no running or feathering. The formula is ultra long lasting and includes natural active skincare ingredients such as rosehip oil, bisabolol and vitamin E derivatives. They are opthalmologically tested, suitable for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers.

Here's a bonus, each liner comes with a built-in mini pencil sharpener! I tried the liners at the launch and they were sooooo smoooooth, glides right on.

These babies will be available on counters at David Jones on 18th of March 2018.

SISLEY PHYTO-BLANC CUSHION FOUNDATION - $150 AUD
This is the first cushion foundation by Sisley that is both a skincare and a foundation. Designed specially for women who are seeking a brighter, more luminous and more even complexion.

Phyto-Blanc diffuses a perfecting glow on the face with its golden and pink colour correct pearls that will add light, clarity and radiance to the skin while providing double correction for a perfectly even complexion. It's described as a "photoshop" foundation which can also minimise your pores. With an SPF of 30 and a PA +++ this foundation fights against UVA and UVB rays as well as pollution. You will also find this foundation to prevent the appearance of pigmentation as well as photo ageing.

This incredible foundation comes in 3 shades:

White Opal - natural radiance for very fair, olive complexions contains golden pearls
White Pearl: Pink radiance for very fair pinkish complexions. Contains Pink Pearls.
Light Rose: Pink radiance for fair pinkish complexions contain pink pearls.

The compact is hygienic and non-wasteful. You can pump out a peas-size with a press of a button. Refills are also available for purchase.

PHYTO-LIP TWIST MATT - $55 AUD

Sisley designed a comfortable, long-wearing formula. You will find intense shades and optimal hydration. It owes its matt effect to a complex of shiny esters and light oils combined with film-forming waxes. Leaving your lips with a beautiful burst of colour and moisture.

I will be testing Ruby and Drama and cannot wait to let you guys to know my thoughts!

Signing off with a food photo! These are delicious marshmallows with chocolate and caramel fillings!

Empties: August - October 2016

So many months have passed but I only ended up finishing a handful of products :( sigh.

I'll try harder next month haha!

Dermal Heel Balm* - This stuff did work and my cracked heels were repaired within a few days of application. FYI - there is Urea in the formula.

Spot Medic* - This was effective on pimples with runny pus, however, it's not as effective as my 3M patches, this is easily accessible in Australia.

I-Colour Liquid Liner -  A liner I purchased from Hong Kong many years ago, it's ran out of juice and served well. It's not a brand that is available in Australia I don't believe and probably won't go out of my way to find it.

Maybelline Pure Concealer - This concealer contains salicylic acid and claims to conceal/treat pimples. I've had this for a long time, it was fairly effective in treating pimples when I first got it, but that effect quickly died.. it wasn't the best concealer either.

Dermaveen Soap Free Wash* - My go to wash (alongside QV), it's great for sensitive skin and can be used around genitals. I will definitely be repurchasing!

SkinB5 Acne Control Cleansing Mousse* -  A good cleanser that did not dry out my skin, I was using it as my double cleansing routine. It had a nice citrus scent. I have a lot of cleansers to get through so I probably won't be re-purchasing this in a hurry.

Lux Aromatherapy - This wasn't my favourite body wash, It did lather well, however the texture is "slippery" and I'd often drop the content on the shower floor. Won't be repurchasing and will be sticking to my Dermaveen/QV products.

Lonvitalite Whitening Mask - I've always love Lonvitalite sheet masks, it's great for travel. My skin did feel brighter following use. I still have a couple left, but I'm also keen to try some other brands.

Caolion Hot and Cool Pore Foam Cleanser Duo* - This is such an interesting product and it did a fantastic job at cleaning my pore and reducing the size... almost instantly. But my enlarged pores did return a day or two following use. I have a full size version of this and will definitely be testing it out long term.

Schwarzkopf Instant Volume Power*- I really disliked this product, it was messy and made my hands feel tacky. The product didn't really do a lot for my hair in terms of styling and holding. I'd rather use hairspray or styling gel/mousse/cream.. literally anything else but this.

Eucerin -  This is a german product, I'm not even sure what it does... I've been using it for my fine lines and it did a pretty good job.

Thin Lizzy Eyeliner Pencil* - While this eyeliner is long lasting, I decided to let it go because it does crease and I have found better alternatives. Life is too short to use products you're not 100% satisfied with right?

*These products were provided for my consideration

Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Lash Extending Treatment Mascara

So...I'm just gona do a shit load of reviews, because I hate it when i can't find reviews on products that I'm thinking of buying.

I have tried a few mascaras (which I will review them all) but by far, the Elizabeth Arden Ceramide is the Best I have tried.

- It actually extend your lashes!

- after multiple applications you will still have your soft defined by natural looking lashes

- The brush is structured in a way so that when you put your wand back in there wouldn't be a whole heap of mascara squeezing through the side (YUCK!)

- It contains a whole heap of vitamins which helps strength your lashes.

- It is easily rinsed out, forget make up remover! just rinse with water!

Just check out the before and after pic!

Where can you get it? Reminder: I'm in Australia...so I guess Myer, david jones etc. OTHERWISE EBAY!!!! (I got mine from my bf..)

How much? I'd say about $30-$40...possibly cheaper on ebay
