CREATE YOUR SIGNATURE AUTUMN LOOK WITH 4 PRODUCTS

Autumn is my favourite time of the year and orange is my favourite colour alongside mauves.

It's a time where I get to wear my favourite hues, yet the weather is still warm enough for a t-shirt. I do like to adapt my makeup look based on seasons (or emotions). During summer, my sole purpose was to obtain that perfect bronzed glow. Autumn is deeper and more meaningful - to me. So I've created a really easy look using some beautiful Autumn picks from Eles Cosmetics.

STEP 1 - FOUNDATION

Post-Easter, my skin turned into an absolute mess. A blemish here and a pimple there, it's the inevitable outcome of impulsivity.. a lack of self control when I am surrounded by one too many chocolate eggs and bunnies. This is why I need a good foundation.  Here, I am using Eles Cosmetics HD Luminous Foundation in the shade "BUFF". I have selected this foundation to blend in with my summer tan. I found the foundation easy to blend with a medium to high coverage and a dewy finish. This foundation did a great job for my under eyes so I did not need to conceal.

STEP 2 and 3 -
EYESHADOW AND CHEEKS

For eyes and cheeks, I used this stunning Eles Cosmetics Autumn Collection Palette, this beautiful palette encompass all the wonderful autumnal colours. I applied the berry mauve shade all over the lids and under my lower lash line followed by a pop of gold to the centre of the lid.

For cheeks, the subtle powder bronzer was applied to my cheeks and the areas of my face where I would want a bit of a sun kissed glow (sides of forehead, nose etc), followed by the beautiful peachy berry shade to the apples of my cheeks.

STEP 4 - MASCARA

I don't use a lot of mascara these days, but I feel that mascara is almost an essential for Autumn makeup, otherwise the eyes can look a tiny bit bare! I used Eles Cosmetics Lush Mascara to define and separate my lashes without clumping. While it's not a mascara for dramatic looks, it's perfect for a more natural look and great for everyday use.

STEP 5 - LIPSTICK

Nude lips is something I have never been daring enough to really wear. You'd be surprise to know the amount of nude lipsticks I leave untouched and stashed. When I saw Eles Cosmetics Matte Lipstick in Bare I thought I'd give it a go. I think it creates a nice contrast with a dark eye look. If you are not confident in wearing nudes, I found it to be best mixed with a petal rose colour. However in the photo below, I am wearing Bare alone.

Natural Holiday Look Using Eles Cosmetics + Swatches

I can't believe tomorrow is my last day of work for the year!!!

I get a week off and I will be going to my parent's place to spend a week with them before coming back to work on the following week. YAY! I can't wait :)

I recently received some beautiful Eles Cosmetics products, I have been testing them out and my verdict is below! If you want to know more, keep reading cos there's a HG product in there!!

ELES COSMETICS SUNSET HAZE PALETTE

This is a stunning multidimensional 3 in 1 face and eye palette, contains a mineral matte bronzer in Santa Fe, mineral blush in Rose Marble, Mineral Matte shadow in Taupe Tan and mineral matte shadow in Tourmaline.

I like to tap my brush in the bronzer to give myself an overall glow. Or use my finger to single out the highlighter shade within the palette to highlight my face.

The blush is a gorgeous pink that is suitable for most skin tone, it's not too pigmented and easy to blend. I love how there's a matte and shimmer shadow in this palette, I usually always go for shimmer shades and forget how good mattes look on the lids.

The only thing about this palette is that it is quite powdery - ok let me explain, it does not look powdery at all on your face, but when you use your brush to pick up the product it gathers a lot of powder so my tip is to tap your brush otherwise you may notice a bit of fall out.

ELES MOISTURE CREME LIPSTICK IN PLUM FROST

This shade was quite overwhelming when I first saw it but I couldn't help but to fall in love with this vibrant colour. During everyday wear, I have been dabbing it on my lips and blending it in with my finger for a more subtle look. One evening, I decided to just try it from the bullet and see what the full colour looks like on me. I must say I really can't make vibrant pinks work on me but the colour was so pretty I decided that I would have to find a way to make it work - I think the solution is just a simple winged eye look on a good skin day.

The lipstick is beautifully moisturising and did not dry out my lips throughout the day.

ELES BAKED BLUSH IN PETUNIA

This blush goes perfectly with the lipstick in Plum Frost, it's virtually the same shade but in blush form. I am a lover of all blushes and could not wait to dig my fingers into this. I found this blush to be very pigmented - which is something I am not use to. A tiny little dab is enough for your cheeks. While it is very pigmented, it is still quite blendable. I am thinking of trying it out with a different and fluffier brush. I usually use a dense brush for blush but I think I can't do that with this blusher.

However, wear time is excellent. It remains on my cheeks or at least  visible hints of it after a long day at work.

ELES SUPERWEAR GEL LINER IN BAROQUE

This is HANDS DOWN the favourite product of the lot. If you had to buy one and only one product from this blog post - I would recommend this liner.

It draws on ever so smoothly and the liner does not budge, smudge or move. With my hooded eye lids, I usually get transfers... or at least a small amount. But this stays on. I think this is going in my HG stash.

ELES LASH FORTIFYING WATERPROOF MASCARA - BLACK

Before we start, let me reiterate how my lashes are very very straight.

Unfortunately this mascara was unable to maintain the curl. Following application, it does not lengthen or volumnise my lashes as some other mascaras I have tried. It did well at separating my lashes and gave me a very natural look.

Whilst it is waterproof and did not smudge, it is removable with a general wipe, that was a plus. I'm not much of a mascara wearer nowadays, so I am not sure if I would reach for this mascara to be honest, whilst it did not do too well for my straight lashes, it may work well on someone with naturally curly lashes.

3 STEP DAY TIME SKINCARE WITH ELES SKINCARE

Following my night time skincare routine, I thought it would be good to follow up with my 3 step day time skincare routine. When I do have time in the morning I would cleanse my face, but admittedly I would often skip this step - not being able to work from home means I am time poor!

Today I want to show you guys my 3 step skincare using Eles Cosmetics Skincare - Eles Cosmetics is a salon quality brand - with a range of skincare and mineral makeup.

STEP 1: ELES TRANSFORMATION CLEANSING OIL

When I have time in the morning I might go in with a cleansing oil to ensure all traces of dirt and grime is removed from my skin. This is not always possible on a working day, but I try!

I have tried a couple of different cleansing oil and Eles Transformation Cleansing Oil is probably the best cleansing oil I have used thus far. It's difficult to notice this on your face but when I swatched some Smashbox liquid lipsticks on my arm I had a LOT of difficulty removing it, I used hand soap, regular facial cleanser, facial scrub, shampoo, body wash.... everything and I still had huge lipstick swatches across my arm. A lightbulb moment shined through and I used a small amount of Eles Cleansing oil and the stubborn lipstick melted away. That was the moment I decided that I really shouldn't be going to bed after wearing makeup without using this cleansing oil, I realised the amount of residual makeup that may be stuck in my pores that is not visible to the naked eye.

Some of the other cleansing oil I have tried were difficult to wash off, Eles cleansing oil is non-greasy and can be rinsed under warm water - however, I ALWAYS double cleanse.

This is a transformation cleansing oil because the oil turns into a milky colour after coming into contact with water.

STEP 2: ELES OVER NNIGHT REPAIR FAICAL OIL

This is a beautiful light weight facial oil that you can use both day and night. It possess a light fruity scent that is very pleasant (personally I prefer to use it in the morning because it really wakes me up and makes me feel refreshed!). I usually use a couple of drops during the day and it is absorbed fairly quickly, I tend to use a lot more in the evening and you will need to wait for the oil to be absorbed.

If I use this at night time, I would often skip moisturiser cos this does such a great job even though I know I should be! I especially like this oil around my under eye area for a boost of treatment when I don't have eye cream handy.

STEP 3: ELES LUMINOUS DEFENCE BRIGHTENING DAY PROTECTION SPF 30

The last and final step is ALWAYS day cream with SPF 30+ despite the weather or season.

This is definitely a luminous day cream, I personally feel that this is designed best for dry skin in winter as it may appear a oily for those with already oily skin or when used in summer. Although I like to use a full pump of cream for my entire face (which is usually too much anyway).
