Tutorial: Dare to Wear Blue

I feel that blue is rather incompatible with olive skin, it's one of those colours I can never really pull off.

However, my make up kit is some how overloaded with random blue eye colours... time to put them to good use!

Products used
  • Flat eyeliner brush from Brigitte's Boutique
  • Pencil brush from brigitte's Boutique
  • Shsieido cream eye colour in BL711
  • Estee Lauder Microscopic Mascara
  • Shiseido Curler

I think the key with this look is to blend the crap out of the blue so it looks like it merges into the mid section of your lashes.

I find this look quite wearable.

I've been a frequently viewer of Celly's tutorials she always pair an eye tutorial with a lip colour or gloss. I thought it was a brilliant idea! ^_^

Here I used a random Sugar Baby lip gloss

Are you a blue person?

  1. It looks good on you! I am also hesitant about wearing blue eyeshadow and not looking like a 90s reject but I love the look of merging it into the mid section :)

  2. I agree that blue is rather hard to pull off, even with blue nail polish which I love so much! I think the blue you chose is rather wearable unlike the bold and bright shades.

  3. I'm a bit scared of colours sometimes, I think we all need to experiment a bit more with what we're got, that look is very wearable! I'm trying to work out how to use the Inika shadow I got in my LHi box this month, it's a bright mint!! :)
