Product Information
"A creamy stick foundation that glides on effortlessly providing versatile coverage and a comfortable long-lasting lustrous finish while offering exceptional skincare benefits."
Shade: O20 and O40 (one for winter and one for summer!)
RRP: $67 AUD
Size: 10g
Shade: O40 Shade: O20 |
O20 O40 |
O in the shade represents Ochre; ideal for olive undertones. As the numbers goes up, the shade becomes darker (i.e., 00, 20, 40, 60, 80, 100). If you are unsure of your shade, head to a Shiseido counter, the consultants are all trained to provide exceptional service. Even after leaving the company for a couple of years, I would still repurchase their products. I also plan to try their Maquillage range! ^_^
Application
I like to draw horizontal lines (as shown below) with my foundation stick across my cheeks, chin and forehead. Vertical for the space between my eyes and nose.
If I'm using this at home, I'd blend it with a flat top brush. Otherwise fingers will suffice.
Verdict:
Pros
- The creamy texture is great for dry and sensitive skin
- Easy application - can be used "on the go"
- SPF 15
- Sleek packaging, easy to store in handbags
- Initially light coverage, but you can layer to build up coverage. Although, I would recommend this product for "good-skin-days"
- Covers redness
- No off-putting chemical scent
- Dermatologically tested
Cons
- You'll receive a little over half a pinky's length of product. I find myself to use up stick foundations faster than liquid.
- It will not cover your freckles or heavy blemishes
- $67 is a fair bit to pay for a foundation, but I'm happy to pay for quality products.
Have you tried this product? Which type of foundation do you prefer - liquid, stick, powder?
Great review, I never tried any thing from Shiseido, I have used Maybelline stick foundation and found it great for good skin days.
ReplyDeleteA little pricey for me, but does sound like a nice foundation :)

Looks luxurious, good review!
ReplyDeleteI've never tried this product before. I tend to stick with liquid foundations because I don't feel like I need such a full coverage (like you get with stick foundations).
ReplyDeletei never had used a foundation stick ever because i'm worried they'd be too dry but this product is good for dry skin i might try abit at the shiseido counter next time!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the great review honey! It looks perfect *o*

I've never tried any of their products, not too keen on the price tag for a light cover.. I'll stick with my cheapy Natio stick, although I find that it's a little too soft to wind out and a little goes such a long way, I just swipe a bit from the top. Great review xx
ReplyDeleteSounds lovely, but I'm not too sure about that price tag! Thanks for the great review though :)

Sounds like a pretty good product but it does seem to be on the pricey side - especially considering that it's not a lot of product in the stick. But I'm going to check it out since you've stated that it works well for dry and sensitive skin - I have both issues. Booo! LOL.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a nice product, but very expensive, the only bad about that shades are like yellow tone, but well sweetie I prefer liquid foundation or BB Creams.

I would definetely take the darker one :o But you have a really white skin tone so the O20 is better!
ReplyDeleteI love Make Up Sticks as i love Bronzer Sticks they are my little angels <3

I love the little tutorial on how you put it on. It's be ages since I've used any sort of stick foundation. That is a lot to pay for such a small amount!
ReplyDeleteI have never tried a stick foundation before. It seems a little pricey to me.

I've always been iffy about stick foundations, but I must admit I do like the look of this one! x

I think shiseido overall is has great quality products and I really like the brand, but I don't get why everything is so expensive!! I want so many things but can't afford to get them!

wow it's definitely not cheap XD but it looks great :) thanks for the review!
ReplyDeleteI didn't know this product but it seems very good! (^O^) However, I don't know if I should use it because my skin is sensitive but it isn't dry >__< It's a little oily sometimes (;;) So I have to use other types of products (><)
