Happy first of July!! How crazy, I am now counting down to Christmas, this year is going way too fast. I was chatting with a couple of friends about life and whether we are really happy with what we are doing in life. It's important that we assess our life situation every now and then, it's so easy to go off track with social and work demands.
Every time I come home unmotivated and moody from work, I turn to my makeup stash, it gives me a warm imaginary hug and whispers everything is ok. Haha, does that ever happen to you? For the past few months, I have been eyeing Poni Cosmetics on Instagram, the packaging is beyond cute!!
Poni Cosmetics The White Knight Mascara
The White Knight mascara seems to hold a little bit of curl, damn stubborn straight lashes! None the less I still love this mascara. It has a lengthening brush and a volume brush, just to clarify, it's the same brush. The volume brush picks up more of the formula while the lengthening brush pulls through the thin tube (see pic below) clearing excess formula on the brush to allow lash separation and lengthening. What a brilliant design!!!!
Poni Cosmetics The White Knight Mascara is available at Ry.com.au for $30 or click here.
A beautiful bronzing, blushing and highlighting kit. The packaging is made from hard cardboard that is magnetised to the edge of the flap, this allows easy opening and closing of the kit. All four powder shades are very pigmented and proved to have decent lasting power - Approximately 5 hours.
The blushes Pretty Pink Poni and Playful Peach Poni are absolute winners for me, the pink is cool toned, however work nicely on my olive skin. While the peach is warmer and absolutely STUNNING. Both blush shades are easily blendable.
The contouring shade, Contour that Poni is a little bit too shimmery for me as I generally prefer a matte contouring powder. However, it can work (see video below) you just need to really blend the colour out so the shimmer appears fairly subtle. I personally found this particular shade a little bit more difficult to blend out compared to the other powders in the quad. However, it would make a beautiful eye shadow!
Highlight That Poni is a pearl highlighter shade with a slight sheen and no sparkles, it's a great highlighter for those with a lighter complexion or aiming for a subtle day time highlight.
Poni Cosmetics Contouring Kit is available at Ry.com.au for $49 or click here.

That contour shade is definitely more like an eyeshadow than a contour! The mascara looks good.
ReplyDeleteI haven't worn a tube mascara since my year 12 formal! Even though the formula sounds great I really need something to hold that curl up!

Contouring palette looks great!
ReplyDeleteSome great colours in that counter kit, though I agree that bronze is far too shimmery for contour. Would be great to have on hand for highlight, a summer bronze glow or a peachy blush. - Jackie (Lipstick, Lattes & Louboutins)
ReplyDeleteOh wow this looks awesome! I haven't tried anything from Poni before! xx
