I.C.O.N INDIA Range Haircare Review

I was really lucky to receive some fabulous products from I.C.O.N to try out!

It was so exciting, I've been using whatever mum buys from Coles pretty much all my life, and soap when I was a bub. This is the first time I got to try some prestigious hair care products.

As usual, I'll have all the ingredients up for the products.

 Shampoo
Shampoo Ingredients

The products possessed an amber scent, it was quite potent, but I really liked it. The shampoo lathered up beautifully. It looked so pearly when I squeezed it out of the bottle ^_^

My hair smelt incredible after the wash, the slight amber scent resonated within my hair after the wash.

Conditioner
Conditioner Ingredients

I never ever use conditioner (I know, I know!) I hate it because it sticks to my hair, it "clots" and its' hard to wash off.

To be honest, I was hesitant to use the conditioner at first.... but my goodness, it was so easy to use and wash off. My hair felt so smooth, soft and clot-free.

Healing Spray
Healing spray Ingredients:

Aqua, Proplyene glycol, behentrmonium methosulfate cetearyl alcohol, amodimethicone, cetrimonium chloride trideceth-12, moringa oleifera seed oil, argania spinosa oil, aloe barbadensis leaf juice, hydrolyzed silk, hydrolyzed quinoa, tocopheryl acetate, tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate ascorbyl palmitate, trimethylsiloxyamodimethicone, tetrasodium edta, citric acid, polysorbate20, maltodextrin, cyclopentasiloxane, dimethicone, isopropyl palmitate, isohexadecane, sodium benzotriazolyl butylphenol sulfonate buteth-3,tributyl citrate, parfum, phenoxyethanol, capryl glycol, ethylhexylglycerin, hexlyene glycol, red4, yellow33, blue1, yellow 10.

I tried the healing spray (be aware that it's not in fluid  form!). The dispenser will spray little bits of product on your hair and you'll have to quickly comb through it because they were quite slippery. Some of the leave in products I've tried left an off white residue in my hair and it would cause my hair to stick together.. but this didn't leave a trace of product, and my hair was perfectly separated. The healing spray is great to reverse damage and bind moisture.

Oil ingredients:

cyclomethicone dimethicone, cyclopentasiloxane, moringa oleifera seed oil, argania spinosa oil, isopropyl palmitate, parfum.

I didn't jump on the argan oil band wagon, I always wondered why people would put oil in their hair!? It'll make your pillow cases dirty!... I was really hesitant to try the oil but I gave it a go anyway. The texture was a tiny bit gooey to begin with, once it is rubbed into your hair, it is incredibly smooth and silky. No oily residue. The oil is excellent for detangling, strengthing and adding smoothness.

I had shiny and nice smelling hair that lasted for days. I tried to take some before and after pictures but it didn't work out. My hair is long, black, straight and quite thick, it would reflect off anything.

So... I thought I'd go share the product with someone else to show you guys the before and after effect. Let's call this person M.

M's hair is very thin, easily tangled and knotted. It is difficult to wash and untangle after wash.

Here's the before and after effect - See for yourself, I was in awe!

10 Things I've Never Told You

A little pre-exam procrastination here.

I was tagged by thesnowflowerrr, please check out her blog! This is essentially a "getting-to-know-you" /10 random facts post.

1. I HAVE to use both sides of the paper before recycling.

2. My friend and I decided to have a midnight screening of The Ring in high school, I was so freaked out after watching it, my nose started bleeding.

3. I have a budgie, his name is Wally. I've had him for almost 6 years.

4. I did ice-skating for 3 years during primary school. I can't really skate anymore, I fell flat on my butt last time I went.

5. My first (sort of) makeup item was a Vanilla flavoured lip smacker, I was in 4th grade - but I hardly used it, my mum liked it too much.

6. I'm a bit paranoid when it comes to personal hygiene. I have 3 sets of clothes - PJs, home clothes and outdoor clothes. Anyone else?

7.  I'm a sucker for anything kawaii. I really enjoyed going to Morning Glory until they stopped importing Sanrio Products. I'm like a little kid when I go to those stores.

8. When I was a tiny little kid I aspired to be a bus ticket sales person (big dreams), my mum wanted me to be a hair dresser and my dad wanted me to ... go on archeology quests.

9. We lived the smallest apartment I've ever seen, for about 6.5 years. The kitchen was literally the size of a cubical, only one person can go in at a time.

10. I have a sweet tooth. I love ice-cream, cakes and an assortment of desserts - I look at the dessert menu before looking at anything else... that's also probably why I picked a hello kitty cake photo instead of a merchandise picture.

I want to tag everyone!

Please link me your answers if you decide to do this, I'd be very keen to read it ^_^

Bellabox June 2013 - Girls Night In.. Girls Night Out

Two boxes in one day!

Kiss Nail Dress
Full Size

I am really not into nail stickers, but these actually look pretty compared to the awful ones from LHI. I think i might wear this on a special occasion!

Natio Nail Polish in Valentine
 Full Size

I don't wear a lot of red, but BB is giving us a chance to win 1 out of 3 black diamond rings if we upload a pic of our nails with this polish. I'm not a jewelry or a nail person, but I might give it a go!

Montagne Jeunesse Passion Peel Off Mask
Full Size

I've always been curious about these masks, a few friends who have tried it said it hurt their face when they peeled it off :/

Bioderma Atoderm Cream
 Small Samples

I hope this is better than the previous one I received (with green lid - for oily skin). I'm glad to see these are for dry and sensitive skin.

Tiaki Day Cream
Small Sample

Apparently this is a miracle cream. 100% botanically derived.  Keen to try!

Tony and Guy Texturising Glue
Full size

Very impressed to see a full size tony and guy product! Unfortunately I don't use a lot of hair styling products.

StreetStar Lip Gloss
Full Size

Brazilian Butterfly Assortments
 Samples

I haven't been adamant about trying satchel products ever since I bought two small containers for storage.

Quite an impressive box overall!

Lust Have It June 2013 - Great Gatsby themed

Pure Fiji Hydrating Body Lotion.
Received a small sample size

I am really excited to receive this product, my friend used to bring Pure Fiji products to uni and I'd drool over it. Smells amazing!

Batiste Dry Shampoo
Received 50ml - full size is 200ml
I previously received the same product in Blush from BB. I think one dry shampoo is enough. I didn't really notice any difference to my hair ...A little disappointed to see this product :/

OPI Pure Lacquer Nails Apps
Received FULL SIZE

Awww really!??! I will never wear this.... *sigh*....

Klara H20 Proof Eyeliner
received FULL SIZE

Quite keen to try this product, another Australian brand.

Real Purity Natural Lipstick in Romantic Red

The brush reminds me of the brushes I used to paint as a child. It wasn't as drying as expected, more of a sheer balm than a lipstick. No scent.

Rachel K Mineral Colour Control CC cream

Excited to try this! Heard so much hype about CC cream, keen to see what the difference is!

Savi Organic Soothing Cream

I love organic products. The cream smells like tiger balm, which I don't mind.

A little disappointed, but some nice products I'm excited to try.

Please, no more dry shampoo and no more nail stickers!!!!!
