The restaurant itself is fairly luxurious, slightly more expensive than other asian restaurants.. around $18-$28/dish.. but i can assure you it's GOOD.

DIY Milk Tea with Pearls

I've never really been big on happy cup because I have a habit of taking a bottle of water everywhere I go.

But i like making bubble milk tea at home, and knowing what i'm putting in my body.

I bought a packet of tapioca pearls, they can be found at pretty much in any Chinese grocery stores.
depending on how much you use, one packet is equivalent to 4-6 serves for me. I like my pearls

Step 1:

Bring water to boil

Step 2
Once boiled put in desired amount of tapioca pearls in the boiling water

Step 3: cook till the pearls start to float up like in the pic below..

Step 4: take Pearls out and run it under cold water then rest it dry

Step 5: make your tea, put in the pearls LAST.
If you don't have a sweet tooth, use milk and condensed milk
lilynotlouise.blogspot.com.au
If you like your sweets like me use milk, a teaspoon of sugar and some honey Once that's done spoon in the pearls!

Personally, I think it tastes better.. none of that watered down or powdered milk taste ;)

Review: QVS Eyelash Curler

lilynotlouise.blogspot.com.au
I FINALLY got a new lash curler and can FINALLY throw out my old curler that chopped off half my lashes lol.

My mum spotted this at Big W

and I've heard QVS on a few forums in the US and they left me with a fairly good impression.

BigW had two QVS curlers, this one, and a purple one. This one was about $7.80 and the purple one was about $5.60 i think. I wasn't sure what the difference was so grabbed this one.

I can't saw it fits my asian eye perfectly, but it definitely does a better job than my old curler ever would.

It curls wonderfully for the lashes in the middle but I have to change the angle of the curler in order to curl the lashes towards the outer corner.

I don't have drastically long lashes so it only curl from the midpoint of the lash. my natural lashes are very straight and hasn't been curled for a few years. maybe thats why the lashes were at all directions when curled??

Anyway, here's some before and after pics (all pics are clickable).

Ignore the colour contrast! One was taken under the light and the other in natural light for no reason at all.
Overall, i think it's a decent lash curler, but i can't really compare because i haven't used many..

Review: Neutrogena Rapid Clear

I received this quite a while ago during a merchandise review
The product itself is quite small, 15ml gel based formula.

They promoted visible results in 8 hours.

Application: cleanse your whole face first. Squeeze a TINY bit (1/4 pea size) onto your finger and dab it onto your spot.
If you apply a whole lot, supposedly, the results may vary.

And the outcome... well it DOES give you that "cooling' effect when you apply it onto a pimple. HOWEVER... it does not and will not eliminate the spot. You might see a slight decrease in your plump red pimple. keyword.. SLIGHT.

My tip is to apply this every 20mins for maximum effect. But don't trust this on eliminating your pimples in 8hrs, that's rubbish.

I wouldn't buy this if I ran out though.

Review: Stila Illuminating Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15

lilynotlouise.blogspot.com.au
lilynotlouise.blogspot.com.au

The only reason i wanted this was for the SPF.
My friend bought one last year I tried it and thought it was pretty light weight.

It's a light beige colour that would blend well with all skin tone.

If you want coverage, this is NOT for you.

lilynotlouise.blogspot.com.au
Once blended it does give you a nice overall shine to your face.

This moisturizer does NOT contain any shimmer or sparkles.

I have dry skin, i rarely get a any glow on my face, my skin is rather dull looking. i wouldn't really recommend this to oily skin, it might make your face look overly oily.

This feels lighter than a sunscreen, but not as watery and light as i liked it to be.
I wouldn't really call the "shine" this moisturiser give "Illuminating"... rather you can probably achiever this "shine" by dabbing any sunscreen on your face.

However... Suncreen break me out at times.
This dosen't

here's a picture of the side of my cheek wearing only stila's moisturizer blended
