July

I haven't been on here in ages, but i'm always looking through everyone's blogs and make a comment every now and then.

But i'm still looking for a stable part time job.

I went to my friend's awesome 21st here's a pic.. I think i had one too many by then.
I think over 60 people came, I was freaking out because i didn't know anyone except the girl who invited me (in white).. but i'm happy i met wonderful ppl! Oh and the theme was 80s bright and bold... but everyone just dressed... normal and there were these 2 guys who actually dressed according to the theme.. they felt like absolute idiots walking in, it was hilarious.

Oh! I just realised, us 3 girls are all holding champagne and the 4 boys all have beer in their hands.  Cliched!

Update: June 22

I've finished all my exams last week but i got my download back today yay!

Theres not much to update other than I've been spending a lot ... eating out, buying stuff i don't need etc.... and well... receiving no income.

I lost my therapist job because i didn't have a car lol.. i know. crazy. Oh well.. it's kinda hard to buy a car without a stable income...

I'm pending on a job with Shiseido at the moment...
I've just been here and there, going to 21sts since everyone is turning 21 around this time of the year.....seeing old friends whom i haven't seen for over 2 years etc..

Here's a small pic of my best friend and i at a friend's bday dinner @ Zaaffran, Darling Harbour... I think i had one too many champagne and she was shy..So i had to draw a face...

I pity the fool that falls in love with you.

I should probably post something that' make up related but i am wayyy to lazy to even switch on my camera.

Uni is suffocating me! My final assessment is next friday then i get into cramming mode for about 10 days till my exams start... i haven't touched a single textbook or lecture this semester... i've missed sooooo many classes it's crazy!

Anyway, it's been a pretty tough couple of months. to add more oil to my flames, the fantastic guy I let slip is dating some chick now... I want to kick myself.. it kinda made me realise that I need to get my shit together and turn myself around. I met him when I was in a very bad state and I was still with him. you all know how badly the breakup went down, and I apologise for constantly writing about this on here. even though i met the awesome dude on a friendship basis, knowing that there are still great people out there helped me out a little. Anyway I've really started to rationalise the situation, the facade left behind by him is finally starting to disintegrate. I can finally see that he has done me so much wrong while I was there for him every step of the way...I really don't know what I did wrong. so for me to still sit here, aimlessly feeling sorry for myself after he screwed me over.... I must be the biggest idiot in the world. Guess I need to shape my mentality and accept the fact that he fucked up, not me. Ah well, I received the raw end of the deal. I kept running into his friends, who all want my psycho head to die and burn in hell... isn't that lovely? I've decided to move on from everything, it hasn't been that long since MrX, I really don't ever want to go through that again... so I think I need some down time to cool off, let everything go and fade away, I think i made the right decision.  anyway, i'll stop rambling. most of my awesome possums have/are turning 21 this year!  here's a pic of my friend and I @ her 21st bday party at this sik club haha!

Review: Clean&Clear Oxygenating Facial Scrub

lilynotlouise.blogspot.com
I bought this product yonks ago... oh well, i may as well review it.

When i went to get this, i asked the dude for something that would minimise acne and he recommended this one. I've been using it for.. i can't even remember, definitely 6months+. and no such luck. It didn't get rid of my pimples at all.

lilynotlouise.blogspot.com
I've always been a bit weary about Clean&Clear products... i found a lot of their stuff to be a tad harsh on the skin.

But this one was generally ok. it did dry me up a bit.. but then again.. pretty much ALL cleansers dry me up lol.. i have very annoying and abnormal skin -_-

lilynotlouise.blogspot.com
But i thought this product was definitely excellent for exfoliation, it remove dirt quite well! after i use this my face did feel refreshed. Plus it's got them microbeads XD

I use this scrub to remove my face make up when i'm really tired... heck who wouldn't! a scrub, cleanser and remove make all in one!  It does a great job at make up removal too!

Review: Invicible Scars-- Advanced Scar Therapy

lilynotlouise.blogspot.com
I received a full sized product from Meg the product itself is 28ml.

the product claim to...
-lighten dark scars
-flatten scars
-surgical scars
-cuts and abrasions
-facial scars
-brown spots and acne blemishes
-burn scars
-hypertrophic scars
-stretch marks
-after dermabrasion, resurfacing peels.

lilynotlouise.blogspot.com

I read the instruction leaflet and i thought this product was very promising. Unfortunately the skin on my face is the pickest part. I was ecstatic when i saw ACNE SCARS... i have a whole lot of them on my chin and freckles on my cheeks. I used this product everyday for over a week....

I was extremely disappointed that It didn't deliver for me :( instead of ridding scars, it kinda made it worse and i started breaking out!!!

The texture wasn't creamy, as soon as you scream it out onto your skin you pretty much can't feel it.. it's kinda like the texture of a matifying stick. very matte.

lilynotlouise.blogspot.com

The product itself claims to be hypo-allergenic... but i guess my skin is just.. bleh!

My mum was petrified when she saw my face after  week...she gave me some aloe to rub on my face and the redness went down a bit.

I guess this just didn't work for me :( very unfortunate... so i gave it to my mum to try on her pretty big surgical scars. *fingers crossed*...

I'll update if the product worked on her :)

COST: $82 or $69 +postage and handling from their website to trial.

I think this may work better on surgical scars... maybe it just wasn't right for me.. but you can check out their before and after images and testimonials.

Ice Cream: Sara Lee Tray Chocolate Bavarian

I've been feeling a bit under the weather lately, the australian summer is unbelievable... boiling hot today and pouring down rain freezing cold the next.

Working under blasting air con + sick collegues doesn't help either..

But NOTHING can take me away from my ice cream!!!
lilynotlouise.blogspot.com

We get one of these oh very often. It's hugeeee but awesome.

lilynotlouise.blogspot.com

They are from the Sara Lee outlet... where their stock goes for a ridiculously cheap price. mainly because these reject cakes and ice cream arn't pretty enough...or a tad damaged BUT good to eat

It's a modeling contest.. foodwise.

lilynotlouise.blogspot.com

I buy from the outlet a often, very often and i really haven't been able to see anything wrong with it.. maybe they didn't sprinkle the choco flakes evenly?

Review: Liptini Liptint in Cerise

lilynotlouise.blogspot.com
lilynotlouise.blogspot.com
When i first got this i thought YIKES.. that's some bright ruby red! But i thought i'd give it a go.. I've never tried a lip tint before so i had no idea how it was suppose to work.

lilynotlouise.blogspot.com
lilynotlouise.blogspot.com

The spongy tip had quite a bit of tint on it. I started applying it on my lips like i'd do with lip gloss... BIG MISTAKE.

So i started dabbing it all over my lips and smoothing it with my fingers. I only applied a very thin layer.. i've never really been a red lips person, i love it on everyone else though!

this stuff lasts if you don't eat or drink lol.  It surprisingly did not chap my lips or dry it out like a lot of other reviews.

Pros:
  • potentially long lasting
  • this little tube will last you a while
  • pretty colour

Cons:
  • Method of application.. I don't like the sponge tip.. it reminds me of wet dog when..
  • how the colour in the middle of my lips all of a sudden disappears (or maybe i just didn't apply it properlY?)

It might not look very red but it really is!!!!

Greenfield Bistro @ Bankstown RSL

lilynotlouise.blogspot.com.au
My mum received a generous altogether $60 voucher from Bankstown RSL (god know how many clubs she's a member of..). We decided to dine at Greenfield Bistro inside the RSL.

lilynotlouise.blogspot.com.au

The environment was quite nice.. very much bistro style lol. But i loved the decoration. it felt like we were sitting in a train 30years back.

Right. onto the food!!! :D
lilynotlouise.blogspot.com.au

This was my dish.. barramundi, chips, salad and a cheesey sauce $24

lilynotlouise.blogspot.com.au

Half a lobster, the most tender steak (hiding beneath the lobster), vegies, chips and diane sauce $32

lilynotlouise.blogspot.com.au

Best Chicken Caesar Salad!!! $13

Altogether we only paid $9 extra for the meal and $8 extra for 2 cups of all-you-can-drink.

I don't go out to the west much but...This place is a winner, GOOD FOOD.

費玉清 (Fei Yu Ching) Sydney Concert Feb 2010 + Trophies @ Star City

lilynotlouise.blogspot.com.au

I went to Star City Lyrics Theatre with my mum to see Taiwanese ballad singer 費玉清 "Fei Yu Ching"
This is his first Australia concert!! and he only had 2 shows in sydney.

It was my first concert where I did not lose my voice or go deaf for 12hours+ 1 week of weird ringing sound in my ears.

My mum is a massive fan... massive.. massive.. (here's a pic of him i took @ the concert... ring bells?)

lilynotlouise.blogspot.com.au

Anyway... we took a train to townhall and strolled our way across Darling harbour to Star City. We dined at "Trophies" (i think that's the name of the place) inside the casino.

The meal was delightful. It was very much like Gymea pub food lol.

lilynotlouise.blogspot.com.au
Seafood Laksa around $16

lilynotlouise.blogspot.com.au
Greek salad $5.5

lilynotlouise.blogspot.com.au

And the highlight! Peacan Pie!! $6

We head off to see the 8:15PM concert right after dinner.
